Highthroughput-Microliter PCR reactions from Advalytix AG and HAMILTON Life Science Robotics
The AmpliGrid PCR slide from Advalytix is a standard microscope slide sized glass surface with chemically structured, DNA free reaction centers. Users can perform 48 PCR-reactions on one 75mmx25mm slide. By automating the reaction set-up on the Microlab STAR, users can achieve a maximum of accuracy and reliability. The automation of the reaction set-up requires high precision pipetting to ensure contamination free processing of the samples.
The AmpliGrid’s unmatched sensitivity allows users to perform PCR from single cells that can be lysed directly on the reaction centers and yields complete allelic profiles starting with DNA amounts as low as 30pg.
The certified STAR method automates the complete process, from pipetting the PCR mastermix to retrieval of the samples after the run. It is now possible to automate your amplification based or hybridisation based test as well as your high throughput forensic or paternity test with reduced cost and effort.
