MICROLAB 500's come in three different series and four different pump configurations. The Series refers to the type of controller that sends commands to the pump. The Configuration refers to the actual features of the pump for example valve and syringe attachment. The links in the table below contain information about the different series and configurations. |

MICROLAB 500A Series Instruments |
The MICROLAB 500A series is an inexpensive line of instruments which meet the needs of any laboratory demanding an accurate diluter or dispenser. The instruments accurately and precisely aspirate and dispense fluid at the touch of a hand probe button or the tap of a foot switch. The MICROLAB 500A series is easy to program and modify. The programmed method is retained as long as there is power to the instrument. |

The MICROLAB 500B series is a versatile, easily programmed line of instruments ideal for laboratories performing multiple dilute and dispense methods. The user can program and store up to 21 methods in the instrument's memory. The easy-to-use LCD menu allows the naming of programs using alphanumeric characters. Programmed methods are retained in memory after the power is disconnected. |

The MICROLAB 500C instruments perform the same functions as the 500B series except that programming and method storage is performed using a PC and RS232C communication. The computer controls the MICROLAB 500C instrument based on the method selected or one that has been pre-programmed into the instrument's EEPROM (Electronically Erasable Programmable Read-Only Memory). Up to 16 instruments can be daisy-chained and controlled from the host computer. A comprehensive
software package is now shipped with each ML500C unit. For a complete
listing of the software capabilities please visit the following
link. For custom applications
the ML500 C series can be controlled using HyperTerminal or LabView. Ordering

The Single Syringe Dispenser has one syringe drive and one valve positioner. This pump is designed for applications that require one fluid path and dispensing volumes within the resolution of one syringe (controller resolution = 1000 steps/full stroke, software resolution 2000 steps/full stroke). The single syringe dispenser can fit syringes from 10 µL* to 25 mL. |
* A 10 µL syringe is
only available when using a valve with 1/4-28 threads |
The Dual Syringe Diluter has two syringe drives and one valve positioner over the left syringe. This pump is designed for applications that require one fluid path and dispensing volumes outside the resolution of one syringe (controller resolution = 1000 steps/full stroke, software resolution 2000 steps/full stroke). The dual syringe diluter can fit syringes from 25µL to 25 mL. |

The Dual Syringe Dispenser has two syringe drives and two valve positioners. This pump is designed for applications that require two unique fluid path and dispensing volumes outside the resolution of one syringe (controller resolution = 1000 steps/full stroke, software resolution 2000 steps/full stroke). The dual syringe dispenser can fit syringes from 25µL to 25 mL. |
The Dual Syringe Liquid Handler has two syringe drives and two valve positioners. With added valve locks the ML560 can attach to all of the ML500 and PSD2 valves. This pump is designed to accommodate a variety of fluid path options for custom applications. The dual syringe liquid handler can fit syringes from 10µL* to 50 mL**. | *A 10 µL syringe is only available when using a valve with 1/4-28 threads. |
*A 50 mL syringe is only
available for applications with a low duty cycle. Due to the large
size the 50 mL syringe can wear out within 10,000 strokes. |
