Job Description

Perform tasks associated with the training and technical support for employees and customers on Hamilton Robotic products.

Essential Job Functions
  • Train new customers on the use, programming, and servicing of Hamilton Company instruments.  Train service, sales, and applications representatives on the use of new products and software.  Provide revenue-generating training to existing customers.
  • Develop and improve training materials and presentations.
  • Provide phone and email support to customers, field staff, in-house staff, and international distributors.
  • Keep training equipment in good working order.
  • Assist in administration of the training program.
  • Provide constructive and positive feedback on instrument products which may improve safety, reliability, customer satisfaction, or cost reduction.
  • Provide quarterly training metrics to Management for continuous improvement for future trainings.
  • Prepare customized training materials for on-site customer trainings as necessary.
  • Support the creation and development of help guides and training tools to better assist our customers and employees on learning the Hamilton Robotics products (hardware and software).
  • When necessary, supports the development of technical writing of manuals and guides in some cases, may be tasked with the writing of such documentation himself/herself.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
  • Possible travel overnight and on consecutive nights as necessary either nationally or internationally.
  • Minimum three years experience training in a technical, industrial field.
  • Must have good planning, organizing and customer service skills and be able to demonstrate those skills.
  • Must have good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Must be able and willing to work with non-technical customers and co-workers in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Must have good working knowledge of computers, including proficiency with Microsoft Office and experience programming hardware application software.
  • Position requires exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally and/or negligible amount of force frequently to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects.
Education and Experience
  • B.S. Degree in a Scientific or related discipline.
  • Minimum three years experience training in a technical, industrial field.
  • Field Service or applications experience preferred.
  • Technical writing experience a plus.
