Job Description

Under the immediate supervision of the Manufacturing Manager, we are seeking a CMM Programmer who will perform various task associated with programming new products and existing products to be run on a variety of computer numerical control machines (CNC’s) to ensure products are run in the best possible times, utilizing the most efficient tooling available.

Essential Job Functions
  • Must be familiar with individual CNC machine safety features/dangers as they relate to programming and operator usage.   
  • Must be able to create different types of CNC machine template files as necessary.              
  • Must be competent in creating necessary databases for shop uses. 
  • This person will Interface with shop floor operators/lead persons involving programming new and revised jobs.
  • Must be computer literate; proficient with ESPRIT programming and knowledgeable in Mastercam software, spreadsheets, and ANSI specs.
  • Must demonstrate competence in efficient programming techniques, and able to write short programs in MDI.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
  • Ability to work accurately in a fast paced environment to meet quality and quantity quotas. 
  • Requires good working knowledge of algebra, geometry, and trigonometry
  • Must demonstrate excellent troubleshooting techniques as they arise in programming. 
  • Must be able to setup and run efficiently the machine that is programmed  
  • Must have a demonstrated competence in reading, understanding, and interpreting blueprints and transposing same into programming effort.  
  • Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills as required to interface with other departments and company personnel in a service function.

Education and Experience
  • Must have high school diploma or equivalent. 
  • Must pass pre-employment drug test and background check
  • Must have a minimum of 10 years’ experience with various types of CNC equipment.
  • Accountable for regular and consistent attendance.
