Project Engineer Injection Molding/Automation

Hamilton Company is seeking a Project Engineer - Injection Molding/Automation to work in our Clean Room.  This person will implement and maintain workflow procedures to optimize safety, quality and efficiency. Support the research and purchase of new equipment, tooling and fixtures. Support the training of the assembly and technical staff. Develop and document operating procedures and work instructions with the focus on continued productivity and quality. Responsible for validated state of equipment and processes. Coordinates ongoing projects and serves as liaison between external parties, systems and operating segments. Reviews status of projects and budgets; maintains schedules and prepares status reports.


Bachelor’s degree in an engineering   discipline with 4-6 year of experience in Engineering positions

Master’s degree in an   engineering discipline with 1-2 years of experience. (Preferable)

Knowledgeable of injection molding processing and tooling as well as robotics and automation. (Preferable)

Experience managing projects and timelines.

Experience in component, equipment and process validations.  Including IQ, OQ, PQ, FAT and SAT activities.

Lean Manufacturing trained (Preferable)

6 sigma trained (Preferable)


Responsible for new product introduction and sustaining processes, which include the following: Layouts, Time studies and line balancing (UCL), Developing Work Instructions and supports the training on them, Creates   and maintain all product documentation, such as BOM’s, Drawings and Specifications, Equipment  purchases, Supports  Equipment installation and set up, Validation of equipment, tooling, fixtures and process, Supports the labor estimations for new quotes, Supports automation projects, Develops total cost quotes for projects with assembly operations including: new equipment cost, direct labor, indirect labor, upkeep/maintenance costs, etc, Support all programs and initiatives related to the Ethics Code, Hamilton Values and Sustainability programs, Support all company Safety, Environmental and Quality programs and initiatives. Understand and implement the Quality Policy, Complete all training requirements according to Training Matrix and Quality Management System, trainings identified in the training needs assessment, and attend all   training sessions when participation is required, Other responsibilities may be assigned from time to time as needed, based on the evolution of the company and the requirements of the department/position.
